Can worms in chickens be controlled naturally?

All chickens have worms; these live in balance with the chicken and do not cause problems. However, an excess of worms can lead to issues and chickens can become ill. Only through a fecal examination can confirmation be obtained regarding the presence of worms. But there are several symptoms that indicate worms:

Chickens lose weight
Bloody diarrhea
Pale and/or dry combs
Chickens sit puffed up
Chickens become less active
Chickens stop laying eggs

Does a chicken show these symptoms? Then we recommend taking action and possibly starting preventive measures against worms. This can be done in a natural way, which is always preferred! Natural remedies support the intestinal wall and thicken it, preventing worms from settling in the intestinal wall, and the worms are expelled directly through the feces. Additionally, natural remedies also support the overall resistance of chickens.

Preventive or curative treatment against worms?

Once there is a worm infestation, it is important to treat curatively against worms. This means starting a treatment to remove excess worms from the digestive system of the chickens. Additionally, you can treat preventively, to prevent a worm infestation. You do this by providing the chickens with a small amount of supplement weekly, which helps them remain resilient against worms.

We recommend a mixture of aromatic substances (turmeric, artemisia, thyme, and allium); these help thicken the intestinal wall and support the overall resistance of the chicken. Curatively, you give a solution of this mixture daily for a week through the drinking water. Preventively, you give the chickens a dosage of this mixture twice a week through the drinking water.

It is also possible to regularly apply a curative dosage (for safety) and additionally treat preventively. This mixture is completely natural and safe for the chicken and the environment. The eggs from the chickens can also continue to be eaten, as it has no effect on the quality of the eggs.
