Why there is no product that works 100% against fleas and ticks.

Chemical control of fleas and ticks is widely used. It is effective and works quickly. However, because it is used so frequently, the chance that fleas and ticks become resistant to these substances is increasing. As a result, dogs continue to suffer from fleas and ticks, and the products will eventually have no effect at all.

Swimming and washing reduce the effectiveness of chemical agents

Many products are affected by swimming/washing. Does your dog love to swim? Then choose a product that remains effective even after swimming. Many natural flea and tick remedies maintain their effectiveness. These products are absorbed by the dog through food and then excreted through the skin. This is not washable, allowing dogs to swim freely while still being protected against fleas and ticks.

100% Repelling is Impossible

It is impossible to prevent dogs from getting fleas or ticks 100%. This applies to both chemical and natural remedies for fleas and ticks. These remedies all work supportively, but there is no guarantee that no tick will land on the dog and attach itself. Often, a tick must first attach itself to receive the pesticides, after which it will die or detach. In areas with a high number of ticks, it may be that 95% of the ticks are repelled, but that 5% may still end up on the dog and cause discomfort.

Our preference is for natural protection

Many dog owners think that natural remedies do not work against fleas and ticks, but that is not true. Natural protection does work differently and requires a different method of application. However, we always prefer the natural approach. This method ensures that the overall resistance of the dog is not diminished and it is safe for the animal, the owner, and the environment. In the case of an extreme flea outbreak, it may sometimes be necessary to treat chemically (for example, in the house) to quickly bring the outbreak under control, but it is always advisable to switch to a natural approach as soon as possible.

How do natural remedies against ticks work on dogs?

Chemical products ensure that when a tick feeds on a dog, it ingests toxic blood and dies as a result. There are also chemical anti-tick products that spread through the skin and fur, making it less likely for ticks to land on the dog. The goal of these chemical products is to kill the tick, often through a toxin that enters the dog's bloodstream. Natural products always work as repellents and aim to make the dog unattractive, causing ticks to prefer staying away from dogs. A natural tick supple...

Natural flea control in dogs: is that possible?

Anti-flea and tick products contain chemicals that kill the adult stages of fleas and ticks. Essentially, it is poison that you apply to or on your dog, in a low dosage that does not kill the dog but does kill the flea and tick. However, the chemical products do enter the dog's body and bloodstream. This always affects the overall resistance of the dog and is a burden on the liver and kidneys. Some dogs react to this by developing allergic reactions, but even in dogs where nothing is noticeable,...

Prevent fleas on dogs naturally.

Do you want to treat your pet for fleas in a natural way? Then the natural method is an ideal solution. A natural supplement makes the blood of dogs indigestible for fleas, resulting in them being unable to lay eggs. This interrupts the flea cycle. Thus, no new fleas can develop, and the infestation in your dog's environment decreases. Such a supplement is 100% natural and consists of herbs and essential oils, and therefore has no negative impact on the dog's immunity.
